PROJECT CONTEXT

Why tasea was developed

Post-acne care often requires separate products for dark marks, redness, hydration, and skin barrier support. tasea explores whether these needs can be addressed through one integrated cream concept using marine-derived ingredients, a proposed niosomal delivery system, and lower-waste packaging.

INNOVATION STRATEGY

The innovation

01 - Marine-derived actives

Ulva lactuca and brown-algae-derived fucoidan were selected as the core marine ingredients for soothing, antioxidant, and brightening support.

02 - Niosomal delivery

A niosomal system was proposed to protect fucoidan and improve its retention and topical delivery within the cream.

03 - Integrated product system

The formulation, primary container, reusable sleeve, and refill concept were developed as parts of one connected product experience.

Project outcome

Developed collaboratively by a multidisciplinary team from Institut Teknologi Bandung, tasea resulted in an integrated proposal connecting cosmetic formulation, topical delivery research, marine-inspired branding, and circular packaging exploration.
